Shred Day
CCSD is offering a shred day for all of our members. May 3rd from 10:00am-12:00 Noon has been designated the day to bring your confidential material to CCSD at 218 Prescott Avenue and have it disposed of securely.
This event is available for personal use only. It will be offered free of charge to all CCSD members.
45th Annual Meeting
CCSD Federal Credit Union’s annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at El Monte Inn Restaurant. All CCSD offices and drive ups will be closing at 5:00pm on that date.
Hors d’oeuvres will be served at El Monte’s beginning at 5:30pm. Business will be discussed, the introduction of new Board Members and door prizes will be offered throughout the course of the meeting. All members of CCSD are invited to attend. We would love to see you there!
The CEO Corner
In this our forty-fifth year of service to the membership. CCSD is proud to announce the expansion of the Horse-heads Office.
The Board and management have been working for many months to develop a floor plan to meet the growing needs of current and future members in the Horseheads area.
Construction will begin as soon as weather permits on both an increased office space and a two lane drive up facility. The addition, will more than double the size of the current structure.
Though access and traffic patterns will change, we will remain open during the majority of construction.
Our Horseheads staff will do their best to serve the membership while construction is in process but there will be delays and interruptions. We ask for your patience and understanding as we strive to bring to you a new full service facility.
We also stand ready to serve your financial needs at our Elmira Heights and Southport locations.
We anticipate a completion and rededication date in early November.

VISA Credit Card
Effective April 4, 2008 there will be a change in foreign transactions.
Currently, a 1.0% fee is assessed on all international transactions when a currency transaction occurs. Effective April 4, 2008 the fee will remain at 1.0% when Visa performs the currency conversion. When Visa is not required to perform the currency conversion, the fee will be 0.8%.

Everyday Hero Awards
Area high school students and their parents can look forward to the 3rd Annual Everyday Hero’s event sponsored by CCSD Federal Credit Union. Teachers nominate five students per week over a five week period. Each student wins a $100 U.S. Savings Bond. CCSD will give away a grand total of $2500 in Savings Bonds. Then, one of the students is selected to win the Grand Prize—$500.00 in cash, hopefully to be put towards the pursuit of higher education. CCSD will randomly draw the winner in early June.
Students are chosen based on their community and school involvement, including mentoring and kind gestures, etc. This event is co-sponsored with WENY-Newschannel 36 Television.

Reward Points for Debit Purchases
CCSD has introduced ScoreCard Reward Points for gift and travel awards when using your debit card. These points are given when you make a purchase and rather than using your PIN number, you choose the “credit” option and sign for the purchase.
Your next Scorecard statement will be mailed in April and will include a gift catalog. The catalog will show you items that are available at different point levels. There is also a travel catalog, to be mailed in the May Scorecard statement.

National Credit Union Youth Week
National Credit Union Youth Week is April 20 – April 26. Every time our Kirby Kangaroo or CU Succeed members make a deposit into their account, they can fill out a slip and get a chance to win $100. All week long we will give out treats to our youth members who stop into any CCSD office. So bring our younger members in to say “hello” and make a deposit into their account. They just might be the lucky $100 winner!
Join Us for a Party
To wrap up National Credit Union Youth Week, all Kirby Kangaroo members are invited to a PARTY on Saturday, April 26th from 10:00am– 11:30am at the Main Office in Elmira Heights. Kirby himself will be there to see all of his friends. There will be lots to do and treats for everyone. So…bring your Kirby Kangaroo members in to get their faces painted, have some treats, play some games and say “hello” to Kirby. He can’t wait to see everyone!!
