Volunteers play a critical role in shaping CCSD’s future. Credit unions were founded on the principle of "people helping people" and volunteers have always been the "backbone" of our movement. At CCSD, we are always looking for individuals willing to share their time and talents.
Credit Union boards and committees provide many opportunities for volunteer participation:
The Board of Directors is comprised of nine volunteers whose main responsibility is to set policy, plan the future direction of the credit union and ensure that the credit union maintains its sound financial condition.
The Credit Advisory Board is comprised of three volunteers whose main responsibility is to review loan officers’ work, handle appeals of loan decisions and recommend loan policy changes.
The Supervisory Committee is comprised of five volunteers whose main responsibility is to ensure that members’ funds and interest are protected and that the credit union’s financial records and operations are in order.
Other standing committees, which enable volunteer participation, are: Membership and Education, Budget, Policy and Community Involvement. From time to time ad hoc committees are formed for shorter duration and for specific needs.
Whether your expertise or interest lies in technology, finance, construction, salesmanship, etc. and you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact the credit union.
